No Time?!?

Today, I will like to share with you a joke to test my skill of joyful-ness here. Please feel free to comment.

There was this couple, newly wed. They were preparing for their honeymoon.

The husband was checking emails and delegating jobs to his subordinates. The wife came by to serve a cup of coffee to her man. She stood beside him, and stumbled upon an email. The email was from this man's ex-girlfriend.

The wife turned to him, "What is that?"
The man replied,"Junk mail."

Guess the wife's reaction?
...
...
...
...
You are wrong! She did not kiss this man for his intelligent answer. Read on.
...
...
The wife smiled at him,"Dear, you need a bigger email storage space."
He was bewildered.

"You dun keep junk mails for more than 3 years. Do you?"

The man came out with a more intelligent answer," Because I have never read them to know that they are junk mails."

Laugh... Please laugh... Heehee :P

Hail to Ronaldo!!!

Yesterday, Ronaldo scored a World Cup-record 15th goal for Brazil against Ghana and this made him the World Cup's Highest-Ever Scorer. Hurray...Ronaldo, All the way!!!

Ronaldo began World Cup 2006 with a bad start. He was fatter as before and so he was slower than before. Many have urged his coach to drop him after his poor poor performance in the first 2 matches. Apparently, he was feeling dizzy and his coach explain that is why he has not been performing. I strongly believe too.

After being criticized by former and current teammates for being slow and overweight at the start of the tournament, he put in extra effort to do more solo practises. He then promised to perform in his third match. And really he raised to the occasion and scored two goals against Japan. With these 2 goals, he put a stop to more criticism and made him on par with Miller as the World Cup's Highest-Ever Scorer.

He is just someone that you cannot just dismissed him because he is fatter and slower. He still has the technical capabilites and he is smart. He always manage to figure out how to trick the goalie so that he can shoot with more space.

To me, he is a special player and he never gives up. I suppose his passion for football saw him through this difficult period.

Neighbours are a group of people that you cannot dismissed their signifance. You are lucky if you have good neighbours. But if you dun have, then i suppose it will be quite a terrible situation and may even result in the famous Joo Chiat incident.

Neighbours were like family members in the kampong generation. It was like a big family tree with different branches. Now, I dare say some of us dun even know the surname of your neighbours or where unit they actually lived in. But I hope at least you greet your neighbours.

Well, you can do your part to start a good neighbour relationship. Maybe start by bribing them with food. It always work. :P

Why do people get married?

Hmmm... If one day someone is to ask you," Why do you want to get married?"
What will be your answer?

This sudden thought got me thinking.
Ya, WHY???

I've read an article before which says people get married in the hope of improving their life. No one marries to sacrifice for the other person. People marry because somehow they believe it makes life better for themselves.
A rather true but unromantic answer for most ladies.

Men only marry if they believe it will make their life better. They do not marry because they want to sacrifice their pleasure or give up their joy for you. A man who sees marriage as burdensome, hard, upsetting, or painful will avoid marrying. It has little to do with love. A person may love you, but avoid marrying you (or anybody else) if they somehow believe life with you will be difficult.

So Does Marriage Make People Happy, Or Do Happy People Get Married?

More ponderings to do...:P

!!! World Cup Fever !!!

Hi everyone. Yes, I know I have been MIA from my blog for some time.

Hmm... Actually, it is just that I have an emotional blog yet to be finished. Well, I'm sure you people understand. As you know it is the World Cup Season, managing Sleep, Work and Research isn't really easy.

********Yawnzzzz*****Yawnzzzz*****Yawnzzzz********

Anyway, let's skip the emotional blog and join the fever about the World Cup.

THE thing about this World Cup isn't just the football. It's also about betting and trying to make a calculated wager.
- The Newpaper columnist,Brian Miller

Very True. Both hands and legs up. Even for ladies. I can feel some eyes popping out and jaws dropping in disbelief. Yes, I am one of the girls you see at the Singapore Pools outlet, raising my head at the few LCD TV screens and mentally fighting which match to put my money on it. It maybe thrilling, maybe confounding or even amazing to see ladies at the male-dominated betting shops.

But, I do my research. I will discuss with my lover, his brother, some friends and of course read the newspaper for some tips. Then Gut feeling. And I watched most matches that i put my money on it. You will be surprised to hear that I actually watched the Brazil match this morning.

I do not belong to those ladies who just hear some men's advice and enter the betting shop to try their luck. They dun even watch the match they betted.

In general, Gambling is a bad hobby and should not encouraged.
But small investment can be chanced. :P
In fact, it may draw you closer to your man.

Farewell, Xinrong

The news came sudden, without any warnings. Just like a sudden storm ordered by the X-men "Storm". No Signs before it.

It was subtle. Broken in a very unexpected way. Through MSN.

"If boss later becomes very bad mood and start screaming at you all, just ignore it. I just passed the letter to him."

Letter?? Well, maybe my response was slow or what. I actually thought it was normal letters. As in mails. We usually put them on the boss's table when he is not around. And sometimes when the mails spell bad news, you can feel it first-handedly.

She replied,"I mean I have tendered my resignation letter."

My heart stop beating for one second. Surprise beats all emotions for 1 sec.

Even though I am not exactly close to her, I enjoyed her company and our partnership in work. And I admire her indulgence in shopping for shoes. Her shoe racks are forever rising like the tall rise buildings along the boat quay. In short, too little time, too many shops and maybe not rich enough too. Ha ha. :P

Well, I suppose we are just not close enough for her to prepare me for her departure. But nevertheless, I approve of her career move. After-all, we are talking about a big company 3M.

~~**~~ Xinrong, I wish you luck in your future endeavours. ~~**~~
