My Birthday!!!
Haha...finally something to look forward to. My birthday, a perfect excuse to take a day off, with the very little amount of leave that remains.
My birthday celebration started off with my decade long friends at NYDC with a nice boney hot dog and a yummy "that boney cake" with a candle that my best friend bought at 10cents for a more birthday mood. Really appreciate it.
Then it was a dim sum breakie with the parents-in-law. The long queue was making me very impatient and very hungry and i end up with lotsa of siew mai, porridge, ...my favourite. A little dissapointed with no beancurd rolls though.
Then had ding tai fung with wendy after work the night before my bday. The food was normal but the chat was heart-warming and certainly cheery.
I finally could sleep till I wake up willingly on my birthday and found myself dreaming away with a surprise bouquet of sunflowers from Mr Lover. Then we went off for a good breakfast at Mac and bought a small nutella cake from Polars. It started off good till the rain came. So the weather was making us more lethargic and more keen in a lazy afternoon.
Only when the stomach crumbles, we woke for tea time at Jack's place and then a undecisive mind to go the Singapore Flyers as planned or a movie. The rain chosen for us and so we caught a movie instead.
The movie "Burn after reading" was really a no-brainer and we are totally amazed how these big actors actually agree to cast in it. There is no link with the title too. In short, the movie was just a divorce that has gone very wrong for a CIA agent who was forced to terminate its service. No drama at all. If i were to rate, it is definitely a one star movie.
Though I have to admit that the movie spoilt my mood a little, I was happy to spend this special day together with my loved one, be it the good times or the bad times.
